Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons pumpkin purée
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Combine ingredients: In a small saucepan, whisk together the water, sugar, pumpkin purée, pumpkin pie spice, and salt.
  2. Simmer gently: Bring to a light simmer over medium heat. Cook for 5–7 minutes, stirring often, until the sugar dissolves and the syrup slightly thickens.
  3. Strain (optional): For an ultra-smooth syrup, pour through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth to remove spice sediment.
  4. Add vanilla: Stir in the vanilla after removing from heat.
  5. Cool + store: Let the syrup cool completely. Transfer to a jar or bottle and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.

How to Use Pumpkin Spice Syrup

  • Add 1–2 tablespoons to hot coffee or lattes
  • Stir into cold brew or iced coffee (try it in our Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew)
  • Mix into chai or black tea
  • Add to espresso martinis, White Russians, or fall cocktails (excellent in our Pumpkin Spice White Russian)
  • Blend into flavored coffees like our Maple Pecan Coffee for a pumpkin twist
  • Drizzle over pancakes, yogurt bowls, or baked goods

Notes

The syrup naturally settles over time — just shake before using. For a thicker syrup, simmer 2–3 minutes longer. For a lighter flavor, reduce pumpkin pie spice to 1 teaspoon.
